Congratulations to all our juvenile athletes who competed on Day 2 of the Connacht Outdoors Championships in TUS Athlone on Saturday, 17th June.
Superb all-round athlete, Seán McCabe, won 4 gold medals in the 100m, 200m, 110m hurdles and U18 boys’ 4 x 100m relay. In the 110m hurdles race, Seán set a new Connacht Championship Record. Congratulations Seán!
Nicole Flanagan continues to impress – winning gold in the U14 girls’ Long Jump, setting a new Connacht Championship Record (5.01m). She also won silver in the 80m sprint and bronze in the 75m hurdles. Congratulations Nicole!
Gearóid Tuohy put in 2 superb performances, winning two gold medals in the U15 boys’ 800m and 1500m races.
Ross Campbell and Ruairí McLouglin won gold medals – Ross in the U15 boys’ triple jump and Ruairí in the 250m hurdles.
Eva Sheridan won silver in the 75m hurdles and achieved a PB in the 80m sprint.
Bríain Cullinan won silver in the 100m hurdles and bronze in the 250m hurdles.
Finn Campbell won silver in the 400m and bronze in the 200m.
Josh Cadman won bronze in the 100m.
Seán McCabe, Josh Cadman, Finn Campbell and Bríain Cullinan also won gold in the u18 boys’ 4 x 100m relay.
Cian Flaherty and Zak Kelly-Lahon also competed in the sprints, long jump and middle distance, putting in strong performances.
